The Yellow Deuce is a complimentary, curriculum-aligned educational program that offers middle and high school students immersive tours of the Normandy battlefields, designed to enhance historical understanding through experiential learning. Conducted aboard a classic yellow American school bus, the program is led by experienced educators and historical experts and features rare, firsthand testimonies from some of the last surviving WWII veterans. By combining site-based instruction, primary-source narratives, and guided exploration of key locations associated with the D-Day landings and the broader Allied campaign, the initiative fosters historical empathy, critical thinking, and civic awareness. Aligned with secondary-level history and social studies curricula, The Yellow Deuce provides a rigorous and impactful learning experience that is entirely free of charge to participating schools.

CONNECTING GENERATIONS

Exclusively designed for school groups, the full-day program takes place aboard a classic American school bus and features engaging, pedagogically grounded activities that honor the sacrifices and enduring legacy of World War II veterans. By removing financial barriers to participation, this initiative ensures equitable access to essential historical knowledge, cultivating a deeper and lasting appreciation for one of the most consequential periods in modern history.
