Conducted aboard a classic yellow American school bus, the program is led by experienced educators and historical experts and features rare, firsthand testimonies from some of the last surviving WWII veterans. By combining site-based instruction, primary-source narratives, and guided exploration of key locations associated with the D-Day landings and the broader Allied campaign, the initiative fosters historical empathy, critical thinking, and civic awareness. Aligned with secondary-level history and social studies curricula, The Yellow Deuce provides a rigorous and impactful learning experience that is entirely free of charge to participating schools.
