“Walk the Ground. Hear Their Stories. Carry Their Legacy.”
Welcome to HEROES of WWII Tours
Heroes of World War II Tours provides private, historian-led journeys across the battlefields, beaches, villages and memorials of Normandy. Built upon decades of work with World War II veterans, our experiences combine historical research, firsthand testimony and personal storytelling to reveal the human side of the Battle of Normandy. Our purpose extends far beyond visiting historic locations. We help families understand where their loved ones served, preserve the stories of the Greatest Generation and ensure that their courage and sacrifice are carried forward.
This is not simply a tour of Normandy. It is a responsibility to remember.
The Human Story of Normandy
The Normandy landings and the Battle of Normandy were more than military operations. For nearly 100 days, soldiers fought far from home, civilians endured occupation and destruction, and communities throughout Normandy were forever changed. Behind every battlefield, village, country road and memorial is a deeply human story. Our tours take guests beyond the famous beaches and cemeteries into the fields, communities and often-overlooked locations where history unfolded. Through carefully researched accounts and personal testimony, we explain not only what happened, but also what those events meant to the people who experienced them.

A Personal Connection to History
Our tours are shaped by the firsthand accounts of the veterans and civilians who witnessed the war. For decades, our team has accompanied World War II veterans back to the places where they served. Their memories, experiences and personal testimony now help guide the stories we share with every guest. On selected occasions—and only when health, comfort and availability permit—guests may have the rare privilege of meeting or accompanying a World War II veteran. Veteran participation is never guaranteed. Their wellbeing, privacy and dignity always come before the itinerary. Every experience is conducted with the respect deserved by the veterans, civilians and families whose lives were forever changed by the war.
Private, Personal and Thoughtfully Prepared
Our tours are designed for private groups of no more than eight guests, allowing time for conversation, reflection and a deeper understanding of the history. Every journey is led by a dedicated guide and can be adapted around your family history, military interests, schedule and purpose for visiting Normandy.

Honoring Veterans with Dignity
World War II veterans are honored participants in our mission—not attractions. Whenever a veteran joins one of our programs, their health, comfort, privacy and personal wishes remain our highest priorities. Participation is always voluntary, carefully coordinated and subject to the veteran’s availability and wellbeing. We believe the privilege of hearing a veteran’s testimony carries a corresponding responsibility: to listen respectfully, preserve their story accurately and ensure that their experiences are never exploited or forgotten.
